President Donald Trump tore into Joe Biden Saturday, calling him the “worst president in the history of our country.”

“He is now turning out to be a combination of Jimmy Carter and Herbert Hoover,” added Trump, who was speaking at an American Freedom Tour event near Memphis, Tennessee.

The president touted his many accomplishments in office, including creating a booming economy, rebuilding the military, and strengthening alliances worldwide.

He then contrasted them against the record of his successor, “In just 17 months, Joe Biden and the radical left have turned calm into chaos, prosperity into poverty and security into a total catastrophe.”

Adding that the country was “going to hell,” Trump lamented, “One of the greatest travesties of all is to see a person in the White House who, even after years of political experience, has absolutely no clue how to be the president of the United States.”

But despite Trump’s scorching criticism of how Biden has been running the country, the 45th president did express concern for his 2020 opponent’s wellbeing. “I hope he has recovered because, as you know, he fell off his bicycle today,” Trump said.

Some of the lighter notes of the president’s speech included a pledge to “never, ever ride a bicycle” and a reminder that there is still hope for a bright future for the United States.

“It’s a disgrace what they’re doing to our country, but we can erase the calamities of the Biden years,” he noted. “All it takes is a House, a Senate, and a president who will put America first.”
