The Trump campaign announced that it raised $130 million in August, continuing strong fundraising efforts as the election season enters its final weeks.

The total adds to nearly $300 million in cash on hand revealed on Wednesday as President Donald Trump prepares for his upcoming debate against Vice President Kamala Harris.

“With Republicans united and a growing number of Independents and disaffected Democrats crossing partisan lines, the Trump-Vance campaign has momentum for the final stretch of the race,” Trump Campaign Senior Advisor Brian Hughes shared in a statement.

“These fundraising numbers from August are a reflection of that movement and will propel President Trump’s America First movement back to the White House so we can undo the terrible failures of Harris and Biden,” he added.

The statement also noted that 98 percent of August donations were under $200. This resulted in an average donation of $56, showing strong support from everyday Americans.

The campaign officially ended August with $295 million cash on hand, stating that the amount ensured “the resources needed to propel President Trump’s campaign to victory.”

The total is slightly less than the $138 million raised in July but remains strong with positive overall cash on hand in the final weeks of the campaign.

The Harris campaign has not yet released its August fundraising totals. Its most recent statement claimed a total of $540 million raised since President Joe Biden dropped out of the race in June, according to The Hill.

The Harris campaign also announced on Tuesday that it was sending almost $25 million to Democratic committees to support Democrats in other contests. The goal is to help secure majorities in the House and Senate.

“If we want a future where every American’s rights are protected, not taken away; where the middle class is strengthened, not hollowed out; and a country where our democracy is preserved, not ripped apart, every race this November matters,” Harris campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon said in a statement.

“The Vice President believes that this race is about mobilizing the entire country, in races at every level, to fight for our freedoms and our economic opportunity,” she stated.
