Not only are the latest polls indicating President Donald Trump would beat Democrat candidates Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in a hypothetical 2024 presidential race—but they are also showing he would dominate with voters over Republican candidates as well.
A new poll, conducted by the Center for American Political Studies at Harvard University and Harris taken among 490 registered Republican voters, found that Trump would win in a landslide against potential 2024 candidates, Florida Politics reported.
Whenever President Trump was included as a primary option, he accumulated 58 percent of the vote. Former Vice President Mike Pence and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis came in far behind, with a mere 13 and 9 percent, respectively.
With over a 40-point lead, it’s clear that Trump would easily secure the GOP nomination if the election were held now. Along with the GOP nomination, polls indicate he would also have a slight lead over top Democrat candidates for 2024.
Both 2024 presidential race polls for the GOP primary and general election clearly illuminate that President Trump has a path to the White House if he decides to run.
Although he has not yet publicly answered the question of whether or not he is running, Trump has confirmed that he has made his decision. And by all accounts of those close to him, that answer is a “yes.”
