President Donald Trump made a late-night speech at the National Religious Broadcasters Presidential Forum in Nashville, Tennessee, on Thursday night, where he spoke to the importance of the Christian faith in America today.

He thanked a packed audience of “inspiring people” and highlighted the bravery and ministries of journalists, pastors, podcasters, producers, and patriots “whose spirits lifts up the spirits of tens of millions of Americans.

He said, “[If] we’re going to save this country, it will be thanks to men and women like YOU…the people who makes GOD’S work YOUR work.”

The president also praised the NRB for its 80th anniversary, noting of its 1944 wartime founding, “today, we are in another struggle for the survival of our nation.” He noted that their purpose was to spread the “good news of the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ.”

He added, “I’m here today because I know that to achieve victory in this fight, just like in the battles of the past, we still need the hand of our Lord, and the grace of Almighty God – we have to have that.”

He also called attention to the two-tiered system of justice, but noted that he was honored to take the “bullets” and “arrows” on behalf of the United States of America. He added that he was being indicted “over and over and over” on behalf of the American people.
