President Trump elevated the power of the people of the United States in a breathtaking speech at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday night, announcing his official 2024 presidential bid and pushing for revolutionary strides to push back against the political establishment. “The only force strong enough to defeat the corruption we are up against is YOU – the American people,” he declared, drawing cheers from the audience.
He reminded the crowd that, like when he campaigned in 2016, “I am your voice.”
He added, “This will not be MY campaign, this will be OUR campaign.”
The 45th president spoke to an audience of supporters and a host of media in Florida, deriding the catastrophic policies of Joe Biden and the radical Democrats. He specifically slammed Biden, calling him a “president who falls asleep at global conferences” who was “leading us to the brink of nuclear war.”
He drew a stark contrast between the “embarrassed, humiliated, and weakened” state of America under Biden to the startling success and economic growth that took place during the Trump administration.
“Two years ago…we were a great nation, and soon we will be a great nation again,” he continued.
Trump also lauded the firing of Nancy Pelosi in the wake of the latest midterm elections. “She’s been FIRED,” he quipped, hearkening back to his days on “Celebrity Apprentice.”
He also remarked, “The Washington establishment wants to silence us but we will not let them do it.”
Trump called for Americans to have “daring dreams,” and assured the patriots in the wings that in 2024, “we will win because we will fight with every measure of our strength and every measure of our energy to lift up the working men and working women of this nation…”
