President Donald Trump called out the fake news media this week for “pushing Crazy Liz Cheney” and insisting she has a “bright future” as speculation grows about a future presidential run after losing her primary race Tuesday.

After losing to Trump-endorsed challenger Harriet Hageman by over 35 points in Wyoming’s Tuesday primaries, Cheney hinted about a potential presidential run to NBC’s “TODAY,” admitting she is willing to do “whatever it takes to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office,” RSBN reported.

However, Cheney said she would not announce anything yet, but said “it is something” she thought about and will decide “in the coming months.”

While the media has propped up Cheney as a potentially good presidential hopeful, President Trump begs to differ.

“The Fake News Media continues to push Crazy Liz Cheney and the fact that, despite losing her Wyoming Congressional race to a far superior candidate by an unprecedented 40 points, she has a ‘bright’ political future. Really? I don’t think so, but perhaps that’s why we call it the FAKE NEWS!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Following Hageman’s massive win, Cheney attacked Trump in her concession speech and downplayed allegations of election fraud in the 2020 presidential election. The 45th president responded to her comments, calling Cheney “a fool who played right into the hands of those who want to destroy our Country!”

Trump wrote on Truth Social:

“Liz Cheney’s uninspiring concession speech, in front of a “tiny” crowd in the Great State of Wyoming, focused on her belief that the 2020 Presidential Election was not, despite massive and conclusive evidence to the contrary, Rigged & Stolen. It was, and that’s not even counting the fact that many election changes, in numerous States, were not approved by State Legislatures, an absolute must. Liz Cheney is a fool who played right into the hands of those who want to destroy our Country!”
