During a Team Trump Iowa Commit to Caucus Rally in Sioux Center, Iowa, on Friday, President Donald Trump eviscerated Joe Biden and his administration’s foreign policy blunders, particularly the crisis along the nation’s borders.

Trump began by criticizing the Biden administration’s supposed open-border policies, explaining that they have left both the northern and southern borders susceptible to crossings from terrorists, prisoners, and patients of mental institutions.

“They caught prisoners the other day from the Congo,” Trump explained. “When I say ‘caught,’ they catch them and they release them.”

Trump touted how his notable “catch and release” policy, which has faced staunch opposition from Joe Biden, prevented much of the illegal border crossings into the United States.

“We used to catch them and release them into Mexico,” he continued. “It was called ‘catch and release’ into Mexico, and [the Biden administration] gave that up.”

“Now [Mexico] want billions of dollars to help us with this problem, and with me, they never asked for billions of dollars. I said, ‘You’re going to pay billions of dollars if you don’t help us with this problem,'” he added.

Trump maintained that the country does not only face issues with illegal border crossings but a diverse coalition of other problems from all over the world—including China.

Trump called Biden “a Manchurian candidate,” saying that the communist country gives his opponent “a lot of money” to stop enforcing pro-American business deals.
