As Joe Biden’s standing among Americans continues to degrade, President Donald Trump is continuing to gain political strength ahead of next year’s presidential election.
According to a new poll from Carolina Forward, Trump is leading Biden by four points in the great state of North Carolina, an important battleground state in the presidential general election battle.
In both the 2020 and 2016 presidential elections, Trump won North Carolina by a narrow but solid margin.
However, North Carolina is not the president’s only big lead. President Trump is polling at historic highs nationwide, emerging as the clear favorite to win the 2024 Republican primary nomination next year.
A new survey taken between Aug. 30 and Sept. 1 from TIPP Insights revealed that President Trump holds a whopping 60 percent of support among Republican primary voters, while Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., held 11 percent of support. This demonstrates a jaw-dropping 49-point lead for Trump over the runner-up.
President Donald Trump is also leading handily in key swing states like Iowa as he heads into the Republican primary next year, dominating Iowa caucus polling. As reported by RSBN, 42 percent of likely Republican caucus-goers in the Hawkeye State would like to see Trump win the party’s nomination next year.
Trump is also leading the Republican primary race in California, where he is holding a powerful 11-point lead to win the state’s delegates over Gov. DeSantis, according to a poll from Berkeley IGS that was conducted at the end of August.
Trump has faced unprecedented legal battles this year, but his polling has only improved since January, fueling his campaign’s fundraising efforts and boosting his nationwide polling position. Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla., recently noted that the ongoing indictments being brought against the president were only making him “stronger.”
In a recent national general election poll from Echelon Insights, Trump gained another two points since July, giving him a narrow one-point lead over Biden as the election season begins heating up in earnest.
