President Donald Trump pinned a video of Brian Kelley’s new song “Make America Great Again” to the top of his popular Truth Social account, calling it the “REAL DEAL.”
Trump’s mention of Kelley’s single quickly became a trending post on the platform on Friday.
“Listen to this GREAT song, ‘MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN,’ just out by fantastic Country Music Artist, Brian Kelley. It is the REAL DEAL!” Trump wrote in the post alongside the video.
“Make America great again, I don’t recognize her at all, Streets are full of drugs and illegals, It’s time to finish that wall, And make America great again,” the lyrics begin as a montage of news unfolds in the background.
“You might be woke but you ain’t awake, I’m madder than hell, I want her back, They took more than I can take, Make America great again,” the song continues.
The chorus highlights both a patriotic and spiritual focus, stating in part, “Love this country, love this land but we spiraled, Gotta get her back to God and the Bible, Need a red, white and blue revival, Make America great again.”
The single was released on July 26. Kelley explained the story behind his new song in a post on Instagram.
Kelley stated that after the assassination attempt against Trump on July 13 in Pennsylvania, he was “fed up with the current state of America, (so) I decided I need to get this out ASAP. I wrote it from the heart because I am a concerned, real American. I do not pander, and I will never waver. I’m proud to honor my voice, and give a voice and anthem to those who feel the exact same way. Stand up with me. I ask one thing of everyone on here, no matter what side you fall on or in the middle, Let’s be respectful.”
