President Donald Trump offered his response to the Harris campaign’s call for a second debate following the ABC presidential debate on Tuesday.
Trump shared the words during a post-debate interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity.
“Her campaign is saying, the Washington Post is reporting, that she wants a second debate,” Hannity told the 45th president.
“She wants it because she lost,” Trump replied.
“Do you have an answer?” Hannity asked.
“Well, I don’t know. I have to think about it, but if you won the debate, I sort of think maybe I shouldn’t do it. Why should I do another debate?” Trump replied, later adding, “You know what happens when you’re a prize fighter and you lose? You immediately want a new fight.”
“Would you be inclined to say yes or no?” Hannity asked.
“Maybe if it was a fair network I would do that,” Trump responded.
Hannity offered to host a debate on Fox News in response.
Trump later turned to his Truth Social account to address the Harris campaign’s desire for a second debate.
“Comrade Kamala Harris is going around wanting another Debate because she lost so badly – Just look at the Polls! It’s true with prizefighters, when they lose a fight, they immediately want another,” he wrote.
The post included images from four online polls that asked who won the debate. The C-SPAN poll showed Trump winning at 67.2 percent at the time. The Daily Caller poll showed Trump at 73 percent, Vice President Kamala Harris at 8 percent and the moderators at 19 percent, mocking the biased interventions by the two ABC hosts.
A third poll image from Newsmax showed Trump as the winner at 93 percent. The fourth image featured a Wall Street Silver poll showing Trump as the winner at 83 percent.
In another post on Truth Social, Trump thanked his supporters with an image from the GOP showing him as the reigning presidential debate champion.
Trump’s account also cited a CNN post-debate poll that showed respondents choosing Trump as stronger on the economy both before and after the debate. The post-debate percentages were 55 percent for Trump and 35 percent for Harris.
As RSBN also reported, Trump noted during the debate, “She doesn’t have a plan. She copied Biden’s plan. And it’s like four sentences, like ‘Run Spot Run.’”
