As inflation rises to new heights, President Donald Trump issued a statement wondering how America will survive the spike in prices.
“Inflation just hit ANOTHER 40-year high of 9.1%, which is terrible for our Country,” Trump said via his Save America PAC Wednesday. “Fuel prices up 60%, Airfare up 34%, Eggs up 33%—how can people survive this? How can businesses survive this? Our Country is so weak right now because the Radical Left Democrats have no clue what they are doing.”
Trump’s statement comes as the Bureau of Labor Statistics released the latest inflation numbers Wednesday.
According to the Consumer Price Index summary, inflation soared to a daunting 9.1 percent for the 12 months ending in June, “the largest 12-month increase since the period ending November 1981.”
The report further revealed that the gasoline index rose 59.9 percent over the past 12 months, the most significant increase since March 1980. The food index increased one percent in June, as American families are forced to pay drastically high prices for everyday essentials, the report revealed.
Biden addressed the inflation spike calling it “too high” and “not acceptable” but insisting that the numbers are “outdated” since the average price of gas has declined by 40 cents in the past 30 days.
While Biden attests that such news should be “breathing room for American families,” those at the pump would beg to differ.
According to a new Morning Consult and Politico poll, the soaring inflation is damaging Democrats’ reputation as voters expressed distrust in Democrat leaders to combat the issue, as previously reported.
As the midterm elections loom, it is clear that a spike in prices will negatively impact Democrats at the polls, creating a massive red wave for Republican candidates.
“Don’t vote for the Radical Left Democrats, vote for America First Republicans—Save America!” Trump concluded.
