President Trump honored the late Rush Limbaugh on Tuesday with a Truth Social post celebrating an appearance by Kathryn Limbaugh on Fox News ahead of the nation’s 250th anniversary of independence.

“The GREAT Rush Limbaugh’s wonderful wife, Kathryn, was fantastic today on Fox & Friends, as interviewed by Ainsley,” President Trump said. “We all miss Rush, truly one of a kind!!!”

Kathryn Limbaugh appeared on Fox and Friends on Tuesday to pay tribute to her husband’s memory and reflect on his impact and his love for the country. Host Ainsley Earhardt played clips of Rush praising the U.S., then asked Mrs. Limbaugh how Rush would react if he were still around to see socialists on the ticket in the New York elections.

“He would say we live in the greatest country on earth. Why would we destroy it? Why would we take away our fundamental values, our freedoms? That’s what we’re all celebrating in 250 years of this country,” Limbaugh said. “Why would we do anything less than stand for American patriotism, for our flag, for our fundamental values? Rush loved our country and he would hate to see anyone tearing it down. He would want us all to stand for our founding, our principles, our freedoms.”

Earhardt next played video clips of Rush praising the unique gift Americans had received by living in such a “miraculous” country that allowed people the freedom to choose their own destiny and pursue their own path in life. The clip featured Rush marveling at the country’s successful founding and praising the founders’ unique vision.

“Rush absolutely loved our founding,” Mrs. Limbaugh said. “He would talk about it all the time. It’s a miraculous country. It was something that had never been seen before, in the entire world, at that time. He thought our founding fathers were incredible visionaries who created something under God that is truly exceptional in this world.”
