President Donald Trump received a heartfelt and warm welcome from Minnesotans on Friday night when he took the stage to address attendees of the State GOP Dinner, cracking jokes and hammering Joe Biden on the flailing American economy.
President Trump was greeted onstage by raucous applause and chants of “TRUMP! TRUMP! TRUMP!”
North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum (R) additionally offered an energetic prelude before the president took the podium, making a small speech just moments before Trump made his appearance.
President Trump slammed Joe Biden for his inability to “walk” or talk or even string “two sentences together.” He joked that Biden would be “jacked up” for the upcoming presidential debates.
He also eviscerated Biden for the ongoing energy crisis. He said, “Whether you make donuts or whether you make tires or maybe you make donuts…the energy is what caused this massive inflation that we’ve suffered through.”
Trump also said that the attendees on Friday night had set a fundraising record in North Dakota, although the numbers for the fundraiser were not yet immediately available to report.
The president also joked that Bidenomics was so bad that everything had shrunk in size, including the size of a “Tic-Tac” mint box. He called it “Biden Tic Tacs,” drawing immense laughter from the audience.
