Trump reminisces about his favorite political nicknames

President Trump poked fun at a few political figures on Wednesday night, lambasting U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Ma., during remarks in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on Wednesday night.

Trump jokingly pronounced Buttigieg’s name as “BOOT-EDGE-EDGE.”

The room laughed. Trump said, “He ain’t doing too good of a job, those airports are bad…these planes are sometimes two days late, it’s the worst it’s ever been, there’s never been anything like it.”

Trump also recalled his nickname for Sen. Warren, who once claimed that she had Native American heritage. “Do you think Pocahontas is going to run again?” Trump asked.

The president also mentioned that sometimes people asked him what his favorite nicknames is, joking that he had to be careful about not bringing up old nicknames because now, he’s friends with some of the people that he previously branded with a catchy moniker.

President Trump’s remarks in New Hampshire came amid a multi-day campaign push in the Granite State just six days out from their primary, which is the second big primary contest in the nation on the heels of his Iowa caucus victory.
