President Trump ripped House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., on Truth Social for inserting herself into the tense foreign relations between China and Taiwan.

“Why is Nancy Pelosi getting involved with China and Taiwan other than to make trouble and more money, possibly insider trading and information, for her cheatin’ husband?” Trump fired off.

Pelosi made waves in the past week for reportedly planning to visit Taiwan – a revelation that was swiftly followed by a threat from a Chinese propagandist on Friday.

According to a report from the New York Post, Hu Xijin, a propagandist and columnist for the Chinese-owned Global Times, tweeted that if Pelosi’s aircraft entered Taiwan, the People’s Liberation Army “has the right to forcibly dispel Pelosi’s plane and the US fighter jets…If ineffective, then shoot them down.”

Trump continued in his comments, “Everything she [Pelosi] touches turns to Chaos, Disruption, and ‘Crap’ (her second big Congress ‘flop’ happening now!), and the China mess is the last thing she should be involved in – She will only make it worse.”

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated on Friday that the United States would not respond to the Chinese threat of shooting down Pelosi’s plane.

“…As it relates to the Speaker’s travels…right now that’s a hypothetical,” she said during a press conference. “We’re just not going to speak on her schedule.”

Further, Trump’s comments about “insider trading and information” is a reference to the recent insider trading scandal that Nancy Pelosi and her husband, Paul Pelosi, have been embroiled in.

The Pelosis reportedly purchased almost 20,000 shares in Nvidia, a graphic processor manufacturing company, ahead of a congressional vote to further a bill on chip manufacturing.

“Crazy Nancy just inserts herself and causes great friction and hatred,” Trump concluded in his statement. “She is such a mess!”
