President Donald Trump blasted Joe Biden after Russia announced sanctions on Biden, his administration, and other top Democrats on Tuesday.
After Russia announced sanctions on Joe Biden, several of his top administration officials, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Hunter Biden, the 45th president released a blistering statement with his reaction.
Trump stated, “Breaking News: Russia just sanctioned Joe Biden. While that is a terrible thing, in so many ways, perhaps it will now be explained why the Biden family received 3.5 million dollars from the very wealthy former Mayor of Moscow’s wife.”
The 45th president explained how he attempted to question Biden during the first 2020 presidential debate on allegations of corruption and conflicts of interest with Russia; however, Chris Wallace would not allow him to ask the question.
Trump added, “Perhaps that’s why Biden has been so ‘slow on the draw’ with Russia. This is a really bad conflict of interest that will, perhaps now, be fully and finally revealed!”
As the world looks to the United States for leadership during the present crisis in Ukraine, the weakness of the Biden administration is evident. While the Democrats labeled Trump a puppet of Vladimir Putin, Trump is now pointing out the corruption of the Biden family and questioning whether it could be the reason the United States has been so slow to respond to Russian aggression.
Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement Tuesday to Twitter saying, “In response to a series of unprecedented sanctions prohibiting, among other things, entry into the United States for top Russian officials, effective March 15 this year, the Russian’ stop list’ includes @JoeBiden, @SecBlinken and a number of other American figures on the basis of reciprocity.”
Responding on behalf of the White House, Press Secretary Jen Psaki said, “I would first note that President Biden is a Junior. So, they may have sanctioned his dad. May he rest in peace.” She added, “The president’s name is Joe Biden, Jr., not Sr., as Russia’s foreign ministry mistakenly labeled him.”
Biden’s press secretary appeared to make light of Russia’s sanctions on U.S. government officials and top Democrats. Instead of responding with strength, the Biden administration seems to be ignoring Russia’s actions.
Psaki continued, “The second piece I would say is that it won’t surprise any of you that none of us are planning tourist trips to Russia.” Psaki continued, “None of us have bank accounts that we won’t be able to access. So we will forge ahead.”
The Biden administration has tried to use economic sanctions to deter Russian aggression and end the war in Ukraine. However, all such efforts have seemingly failed to prevent Russia from waging a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. As the United States and Russia continue to exchange harsh words over current world affairs, many Americans are fearful of the possibility of a larger conflict.
