President Trump will be featured as a speaker this year at the Conservative Political Action Coalition (CPAC) in Washington, D.C., multiple sources have reported.
According to Politico correspondent Meridith McGraw, CPAC spokesperson Megan Powers Small stated, “We are honored to have President Trump speak at the CPAC Conference. President Trump has been a featured speaker at CPAC for over 10 years, sharing his love for our great country and the American people.”
According to the organization’s website, CPAC is scheduled for March 1-4 this year, returning to D.C. for the first time since the Covid pandemic. For the past two years, CPAC has been held in Florida and Texas.
Per Megan Powers Small, “He [Trump] has always understood the importance of CPAC as a major communications platform to reach millions of Americans and showcase his successful America First policy agenda that made our country more secure and prosperous.”
In 2022, Trump headlined CPAC in Orlando and again at the CPAC conference in Dallas.
The 45th president dominated the CPAC straw poll at the Dallas CPAC in August 2022, gaining ten points in less than a year and netting an impressive 69 percent of potential support in a hypothetical presidential primary matchup.
In November 2022, President Trump officially announced his candidacy for president again, and he remains the top choice for Republican voters. As reported by RSBN, a new poll from the Economist/YouGov found that among GOP voters and Republican-leaning Independents, Trump has 44 percent of support for the primary nomination compared to Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., who has 32 percent.
Similarly, Trump also managed to accrue 48 percent of support among Republican voters to DeSantis’s 31 percent when it came to the primary nomination. Further, a Harvard CAPS-Harris poll found that in a head-to-head race, Trump would beat DeSantis with 55 percent of the vote to his opponent’s 45 percent.
