President Trump had harsh words this week for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), after the presidential hopeful campaigned in New Hampshire, courting hardcore MAGA voters in the key battleground state.

Trump wrote on Truth Social, “Ron DeSanctimonious is getting absolutely ‘demolished’ for yesterday’s performance in New Hampshire. No crowds, no enthusiasm, no interest.”

The president claimed that the DeSantis campaign “is in total disarray.” He also slammed the Florida leader for hurting his chances to run for president in 2028.

“See, loyalty does matter with Patriots!” Trump remarked.

Many MAGA voters have seen DeSantis’s early 2024 bid for the presidency as a sign of disloyalty to President Trump.

For reference, Trump endorsed DeSantis’s gubernatorial bid in 2018, giving then-candidate DeSantis an immediate 12-point boost that breathed new life into his crippled campaign, as reported by RSBN.

On Tuesday, DeSantis and his family marched in the Wolfeboro Independence Day Parade in New Hampshire, walking through rain and greeting residents along the parade route.

However, DeSantis’s campaigning in New Hampshire hasn’t seemed to move the needle for his campaign. The Granite State has remained solid Trump country as the 2024 GOP primaries approach.

MAGA Inc. spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt told OAN this week, “Governor DeSantis has only come to our ‘First in the Nation’ primary state a couple of times…grassroots voters really value the deep connection with the candidate they’re going to vote for, and there is no candidate who has a greater connection with the people of New Hampshire than Donald Trump.”

According to RealClear Politics, Trump is leading by a whopping 28 points in the most recent St. Anselm poll, and he is leading by a massive 32 points in the state via data from an American Greatness poll.

Overall, Trump holds an average 26.6-point lead across all 2024 Republican primary polling in New Hampshire.
