The Trump campaign announced on Thursday that President Donald Trump will hold a rally in Bozeman, Montana, on Aug. 9.

The event will be held at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse at 8 p.m. Mountain Time as Trump continues to build his support and promotes GOP Senate candidate Tim Sheehy.

“Weak, failed, and dangerously liberal Kamala Harris and her cronies have made the great people of Montana pay a hefty price for their woke agenda,” the announcement stated.

“Under Harris, Montanans have spent $10,068 more on transportation, $5,191 more on energy, $3,626 more on food, and $6,051 more on shelter on average since January 2021. Buying a home is out of reach for many in Montana, as the median price to buy a home in the Treasure State has jumped 43 percent,” it continued.

Trump is no stranger to Montana. He first campaigned in the state in 2016, later appearing four times in 2018 to support the GOP Senate race.

Security preparations are expected to be heavy and are already underway for the event.

“Our top priority is the safety of the dignitaries and all attendees at the rally,” Springer said. “We are working closely with the U.S. Secret Service and our local and state law enforcement partners to ensure a secure environment for everyone involved.” Gallatin County Sheriff Dan Springer told Montana Right Now on Thursday.

“We value our strong relationships with federal partners and are confident in our ability to execute a plan that prioritizes the safety of all,” Springer said.

The event comes less than one month after an assassination attempt against Trump by 20-year-old shooter Thomas Crooks struck Trump’s right ear, killed one attendee and seriously injured two others. A counter-sniper fatally shot Crooks after the shots were fired.

The Secret Service has faced controversy over the security failure, including the recent resignation of Secret Service leader Kimberly Cheatle.

The 2024 presidential race also takes a new dynamic as President Joe Biden recently announced his decision to drop from his reelection campaign, endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris. The vice president is expected to receive the party’s formal nomination in the new matchup against Trump.
