President Donald Trump gave an energetic speech in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, urging state voters to get out and vote in the important caucus on February 8, 2024.
He noted that he had enjoyed two major victories in the first primary contests in the country, winning by historic margins in both Iowa and New Hampshire over the past two weeks in the GOP elections there.
He told a room full of supporters at a Commit to Caucus Rally, “We had a spectacular victory in New Hampshire – we shattered the all-time record for…the most votes ever gotten by ANYBODY!”
He added, “And now we’re going to have another even BIGGER victory in Nevada!”
The president also reminded Nevadans that in the Silver State, it is the caucus votes that matter more than the primary. In Nevada, for reference, delegates are awarded based on the caucus results, not the primary.
“In your state, you have both the primary and the caucus…don’t worry about the primary, just do the caucus thing,” Trump pressed.
He facetiously continued, “Don’t waste your time on the primary, waste all of your time on [the] caucus!”
The president declared, “We’re going to WIN the swing state of NEVADA!”
