President Donald Trump’s previous comments about wildfire prevention in California are resurfacing as devastating wildfires have broken out along the Pacific Palisades of Southern California.

Conservatives are praying for victims but also seeking accountability, citing forest management issues that even Trump called out during his first term in office.

A clip of President Trump surveying wildfire damage with California Gov. Gavin Newsom in 2018 has resurfaced on social media. During that meeting, he noted that forest floors need to be routinely cleared of brush.

Executive Director of Women for America First, Kylie Jane Kremer, shared the video on X, stating, “Once again, TRUMP WAS RIGHT!”

“6 years later & nothing has changed!” she added.

Former director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell posted to X stating, “The far left policies of Democrats in California are literally burning us to the ground.”

Podcast host Eric Matheny wrote, “Wildfires cannot be prevented but they can be mitigated. Proper forest management and clearing of brush would save countless lives and properties.”

“California is a beautiful state run by some of the most incompetent leaders,” he concluded.

Conservative investor and author John Lefevre posted another video of Trump stressing the importance of forest management during his first term to X, where Trump said, “We’re giving billions and billions of dollars for forest fires in California. There’s no reason for those fires to be like they are.”

In the video, Trump  went on to note the forest buildup of dry rotten brush and decried the lack of clearing these hazardous conditions.

Lefevre agreed and captioned the video, “Trump was right about the fires in California. It’s not climate change; it’s the Democrats.”
