During Monday’s press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt provided a comprehensive breakdown of President Trump’s “big beautiful bill.”

Calling the bill “perfectly named,” Leavitt applauded its passage in the House and described it as a “once in a generation opportunity to deliver on the Make America Great Again agenda responsible for President Trump’s landslide victory on November 5th.”

She called on “every Republican in the House and the Senate” to unite behind President Trump and pass the “popular and essential legislative package.”

Leavitt listed the bill’s key components. “No tax on tips for our hardworking waiters, waitresses, and service workers. No tax on overtime for our law enforcement officers, our firefighters, and all those Americans who are putting in extra hours to make ends meet.”

Also included in the bill are tax deductions on interest payments for those who purchase American-made automobiles.

“Americans earning between $30,000 and $80,000 per year will pay about 15 percent less in taxes after this legislation is passed,” Leavitt remarked.

She referenced a paper from the White House Council of Economic Advisers, which said, “The average family with two children’s take-home pay will be up to $13,000 higher because of the increase in wages and reductions in tax obligations.” The legislation’s passage will also give overtime workers a $2,000 tax cut.

Leavitt highlighted the bill’s “pro-family” nature, including an increase of the $2,500 child tax credit deduction per child, a $1,000 optional savings account credit for newborns and “strengthened paid family leave.”

Seniors will also benefit from the bill, according to Leavitt. “This bill also delivers historic tax relief to America’s seniors, by allowing middle and low-income Social Security recipients to deduct an additional $4,000 in payments from their taxable income.”

Leavitt warned about the “largest tax hike in history” if the bill does not pass. “Republicans must not side with Democrats in helping them raise taxes.”

Perhaps most critically, the bill strengthens Medicaid by eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse. “Medicaid will no longer be used to pay for barbaric gender mutilation procedures on minor children, and the 1.4 million illegal aliens who are currently improperly receiving Medicaid benefits will be kicked off the program to preserve it for hardworking American citizens who need it,” Leavitt emphasized.

She added that the social program would also be protected for “pregnant women, children, disabled individuals, low-income seniors and families, and the most vulnerable Americans.”

Leavitt applauded President Trump’s ability to stop the crisis at the southern border “in record time” after years of unfettered illegal migration. She highlighted the border-specific aspects of the bill, calling it “the most significant investment in our nation’s border patrol and law enforcement agents in our nation’s history,” and noted that it would ensure that Trump’s popular border security policies were “made permanent.”

The bill also includes a $10,000 bonus for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents over the next four years. It will also fund the hiring of thousands of new personnel, which will help expedite his mass deportation operation.

Completing the border wall, which includes additional protective technology for border protection, is also a key component of the bill to implement Trump’s America First agenda. Nearly 2,371 new miles of barriers will be built.

As Leavitt finished the over seven-minute description, she detailed funding for the Department of Defense, including the golden dome, resources for the Coast Guard for ships and the Air Force for planes. Additionally, the bill funds a modernized Air Traffic Control system to “overhaul and update our Air Traffic Control systems to keep Americans flying as safe and efficiently as possible.”

“It is absolutely essential that Republicans unite behind the one big, beautiful bill, and deliver on President Trump’s agenda. There is no time to waste. Americans gave Republicans a once-in-a-generation opportunity to course correct our country over many wrongs over the past four years. And Americans are counting on Republicans to work as hard as President Trump is in this White House every day on Capitol Hill. Send this legislation to his desk as soon as possible for his signature,” Leavitt concluded.
