A mob of angry ‘protesters’ attacked Turning Point USA journalist Savannah Hernandez outside the Whipple ICE facility on Saturday.
This is now the second time I have been mobbed and assaulted for filming a protest on U.S. streets.

Today these Minneapolis protesters were chanting that they were “ANTIFA” and proved it, by mobbing and beating me for reporting on a public protest: pic.twitter.com/EOhyg9AFME
The group in question was caught from different angles, displaying their angry mob closing in on Hernandez, blowing loud whistles and horns in her ear before she was struck multiple times and knocked to the ground. She was followed upon trying to exit the area and harassed. This scene should be shocking and frustrating to every American, but sadly, it has become commonplace.
Crazy angle of Savanah getting assaulted

We have to understand how much harms way she’s put herself in on this and in the California ballot investigation.
She’ll be guest hosting my show "ON THE INSIDE", next Tuesday at 1:00pm EST. @Savsays https://t.co/dflxUd1QBa pic.twitter.com/lJYecKiSlC
Hernandez has linked the group to ANTIFA and expressed plans to press charges.
The more footage that comes out, the worse it gets for the Ostroushko family

Here’s Chris instructing his OWN daughter to come up to me and, “Blow the whistle right in her fucking ear”
They pre-planned & committed the attack…all on camera… pic.twitter.com/xLlVim8bxJ
While leftist terrorist groups like ANTIFA pretend to care about being “anti-fascist,” they attack the free press, use intimidation tactics to silence opposition, and continuously assault peaceful individuals who record their harmful behavior.
Hernandez spoke about the dangers of being a conservative reporter in areas rife with left-wing propaganda during an interview on Fox News with Laura Ingraham after the incident. “This escalated because they found out that I work for Turning Point USA,” she said. “This isn’t the first time that I’ve been confronted and assaulted at this point for journalism on the streets of the United States of America.”
This was the first time I’ve struggled through an interview.

My friends, colleagues and I have been repeatedly attack, bloodied and beaten by the radical left-wing and they’ve only become more emboldened since the assassination of Charlie Kirk: pic.twitter.com/JDW7w5HZS4
“But since Charlie Kirk’s assassination, this is the third time that people have come up to me after I have not been interviewing, not been engaging, but simply being on the street and filming the protest, figured out that I work for Turning Point USA and have made a point to confront me, to threaten me, to harass me, and now brutally assault me to prove a point,” she added.
Hernandez got emotional speaking about the fear that comes with being attacked while simply trying to report on what is happening. Hernandez also noted that these violent mobs are emboldened by local jurisdictions that do not charge violent attackers.
Charlie Kirk was assassinated on Sept. 10, last year, while peacefully sitting down and engaging in civil debate in Utah. His death rocked the nation, and his murderer is eligible for the death penalty, because he lost his life, but other assaults have continued.
During his CPAC speech, independent journalist Nick Shirley described how high-profile politicians like California Governor Gavin Newsom have incited violence against him for exposing fraud and how he must now travel with security.
Post Millennial Senior Editor and journalist Andy Ngo went through a lengthy legal process to finally hold three Rose City ANTIFA members accountable for assaulting him and even knocking him in the head repeatedly with plywood, causing serious injuries. The incident took place in 2019, but he did not receive justice until 2023 after fighting against a ruling that held the assailants not liable, per Fox News.
As someone who has repeatedly experienced left-wing mob violence while documenting a public protest, I spoke to @GeoffHarrisTV on @TND about the extremists who attacked and relentlessly pursued @Savsays near Minneapolis. pic.twitter.com/oowNYwbOsc

Ngo supported Hernandez in an interview with The National Desk on Monday, noting “She’s a very strong person,” but that she had no security, and he was disappointed that Democrats have refused to condemn the violence. Despite this, he heralded U.S. Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon, who confirmed that the Department of Justice is investigating the situation.
On Tuesday morning, she posted an interview on Newsmax confirming that “It’s all been too familiar to me.” She stated that these violent rioters have been acting under the façade of ‘protesting’ for about a decade, and that there is an open investigation into the incident with Hernandez to seek federal charges.
Attacks on journalists for simply doing their jobs are illegal and un-American. @TheJusticeDept’s @CivilRights will protect the fundamental right to freedom of expression—and will explore the possibility of federal charges. pic.twitter.com/XxL4A8be3X

“One of the individuals seen there in that mob is somebody who I’ve already had indicted for the attack on citizen journalists in St. Paul,” Dhillon stated, calling out the judge who refused to keep him in custody despite the DOJ’s information displaying that he is a dangerous person.
And therein lies the problem. Activist judges and weak local leaders who refuse to properly punish violent criminals have become such an issue in this nation that attacks on journalists and everyday peaceful citizens have become commonplace.
The question is, when will these ‘legal leaders’ be held accountable for their reckless professional decisions, and when will these attacks finally be stopped and prevented with proper enforcement of American law in areas rife with ANTIFA tyranny?
