President Donald Trump blasted former President Joe Biden after the Democrat gave a speech on Tuesday attacking his Make America Great Again agenda.
Trump posted his criticisms to Truth Social early Wednesday, arguing that his changes were what he was “elected to do.”
“Sleepy Joe Biden, THE WORST PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES, has allowed millions and millions of Criminals, many of them murderers, drug dealers, and people released from prisons and mental institutions from all around the world, to enter our Country through it’s very dangerous and ill conceived Open Border,” the president wrote.
“Sorry, but it’s my job to get these killers and thugs out of here. THAT’S WHAT I GOT ELECTED TO DO. MAGA!” he added.
Biden gave his speech in Chicago to a group of leaders serving people with disabilities. During his talk, the former president criticized the Trump administration’s moves to downsize the Social Security Administration.
“This new administration has done so much damage and so much destruction,” he said. “It’s a sacred promise we made as a nation. We know just how much Social Security matters to people’s lives.”
The Trump administration has repeatedly stated that there are no plans to cut Social Security spending for Americans. Recent changes have targeted fraud and waste within the agency.
A March White House statement provided a “fact check” confirming that Trump will not cut Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid benefits.
The article also provided a quote from Elon Musk revealing that his full statement only supported removing waste and fraud in entitlement spending.
“The Trump Administration will not cut Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid benefits. President Trump himself has said it (over and over and over again),” the article stated.
“Elon Musk didn’t say that, either. The press is lying again,” it continued.
Musk’s statement during a recent interview spoke out against misused spending within government programs, including Social Security, that he is seeking to end to help better improve the work of federal agencies for Americans.
“The waste and fraud in entitlement spending — which is most of the federal spending is entitlements — so, that’s, like, the big one to eliminate. That’s the, sort of half-trillion, maybe $6-700 billion a year,” Musk said during a Fox Business interview.
