President Trump commended Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., for confronting Biden at his State of the Union address over the death of Laken Riley at the hands of an illegal migrant.
Speaking to the crowd in Rome, Georgia, which is in MTG’s district, he said “Marjorie, I have to say, you were very brave in trying to bring up a point,” adding that “it’s not easy to do, to stand up and do that.”
Later in the rally, he introduced MTG as “a person who’s got tremendous courage,” pointing out that she is often targeted by the Democrats because “she’s very popular.”
He told the crowd that she “was willing to shout out” to Biden and that it was “very well needed because we have to shake this country up, this country has to come back.” He added that “it’s never gonna come back unless we have people like Marjorie Taylor Greene.”
Trump asked MTG to come to the stage and say a few words. The crowd roared in response and began chanting “MTG, MTG, MTG!” She told the crowd that in 2024, “We’re going to reelect our favorite president, the greatest president in United States history, Donald J. Trump!”
