President Trump had a harsh message for Chinese President Xi Jinping following a meeting with other world leaders during a Chinese military parade. The parade served as a demonstration of Chinese military power and was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

In a Truth Social post on Tuesday, Trump blasted President Xi Jinping for meeting with fellow U.S. adversaries. The military parade, which took place in China’s Tiananmen Square and showcased Chinese weaponry along with thousands of marching soldiers, was intended to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the surrender of Japan at the end of World War II. President Trump emphasized the role of the U.S. in defending China against invasion and ultimately defeating Japan.

“The big question to be answered is whether or not President Xi of China will mention the massive amount of support and “blood” that The United States of America gave to China in order to help it to secure its FREEDOM from a very unfriendly foreign invader,” Trump said. “Many Americans died in China’s quest for Victory and Glory. I hope that they are rightfully Honored and Remembered for their Bravery and Sacrifice!”

In discussing the meeting, Putin described the close relationship between China and Russia, calling President Xi Jinping his “dear friend,” and saying the link between Moscow and Beijing was “at an unprecedentedly high level.” The meeting between the leaders and the attendance of Kim Jong Un signaled a strengthening of the relationship between North Korea, China and Russia, which comes as Trump continues efforts to negotiate an end to the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Trump pointed out the message sent by the attendance of Putin and Kim Jong Un at the parade, going so far as to accuse the world leaders of conspiring against the United States.

“May President Xi and the wonderful people of China have a great and lasting day of celebration,” Trump said. “Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong Un, as you conspire against The United States of America. PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP.”
