President Donald Trump released a seven-point plan during his New York City economic address on Thursday to help lower costs and regulations for all Americans.

Trump revealed the new policy effort during his remarks at the Economic Club of New York, including the proposal to create a presidential commission focused on government efficiency following an idea proposed by Elon Musk.

“I am promising low taxes, low regulations, low energy costs, low interest rates, secure borders, record low crime, and surging incomes for citizens of every race, religion, color, and creed,” Trump said.

“My plan will rapidly defeat inflation, quickly bring down prices, and reignite explosive economic growth. Kamala Harris will take more money out of Americans’ pockets—my plan will leave the typical family with many thousands of dollars more than they have now,” he added.

Trump also addressed the plan by Vice President Kamala Harris to increase taxes significantly.

Other new proposals promised to roll back government regulations, including those aimed at energy production. Trump also vowed to withdraw unspent funds appropriated during the Biden administration.

His speech addressed his recent embrace of cryptocurrency and doubling down on his commitment to place sweeping tariffs on imports.

Trump’s economic focus also included gas prices. He vowed to bring gasoline to below $2 per gallon on average, along with lowering costs on a wide range of items such as groceries and electricity rates.

His fourth economic policy addressed Musk’s suggestion to create a Government Efficiency Commission tasked with conducting a complete financial and performance audit of the entire federal government. The commission would be tasked to make recommendations for drastic reforms.

This commission will develop an action plan to eliminate fraud and improper payments within six months, potentially saving billions of dollars and lowering inflation.

Trump’s plans also include banning mortgages for illegal immigrants.

“My plan will ban mortgages for illegal aliens,” Trump stated.
