President Donald Trump took to Truth Social this week to highlight one of the most commonly-used phrases in America today, reflecting on his unique ability to predict events in Joe Biden’s failing economic landscape.
“‘TRUMP WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING,’” he wrote. “One of the most often used current phrases or statements. Wow, such a magnificent compliment. Thank you!”
The 45th president has routinely been proven right on issues of economic policy, international relations, and constitutional skirmishes on American soil. In 2020, Trump warned that if Biden assumed leadership in the White House, the U.S. would head down a dark path.
According to a report from the Daily Caller, Trump predicted in 2020 that Biden would throw the southern border wide open, which would lead to an increase in child and human trafficking, an expansion of illegal asylum, and an uptick in violent crime.
Per The Heritage Foundation, there was a 529 percent increase in criminal alien encounters with sex offense convictions at the southern border for the fiscal year of 2022. “Biden reversed many Trump-era policies that stemmed the tide of illegal immigration into the United States,” their Twitter account explained. “As a result, convicted-criminal-alien encounters – including assaults, rapes, & homicides – have ‘spiked’ during Biden’s first two years in office…”
Trump also predicted catastrophically high prices for energy and oil if Biden got into office, and his prediction has sadly come true. Via Breitbart, gas last summer spiked to a nationwide average of $4.065 per gallon, with some places in states like California paying over $7 per gallon.
Biden also immediately killed the Keystone XL Pipeline when he took a seat in the Oval Office, which would have delivered 35 million gallons of Canadian crude oil to American refineries every day had it been completed, according to CBN News.
On top of that, Trump also warned that Biden’s America would be one that would plunge into a depression. “You will see a depression the likes of which you have never seen,” Trump said in August 2020, per the Daily Caller.
In 2022, a depressing report from the Bureau of Economic Analysis confirmed that the real gross product (GDP) in the U.S. had declined in the second quarter of the year, marking two consecutive contracted quarters of economic growth.
Additionally, prices on goods and supplies have risen significantly, and American store shelves have been ceaselessly plagued by snarled supply chain issues since Biden took office.
