4th of July food prices are skyrocketing under Biden

4th of July food prices are soaring this year, forcing Americans to broaden their shopping budget for the sake of throwing backyard barbecues.

According to a new report from Good Morning America, ground beef prices are up 36 percent, pork and beans are up 33 percent, and potato salad is up 19 percent, for example.

Unfortunately, food prices will likely remain elevated, thanks to Joe Biden’s insistence that inflation is due to Russia’s war in Ukraine. According to a report from the Washington Examiner, Biden stated during a Thursday conference following Spain’s NATO summit that people should expect to pay high prices on gas for “as long as it takes.”

Biden’s reasoning for expecting Americans to continue to suffer from painful prices at the grocery store and the pump is “so that Russia cannot in fact defeat Ukraine and move beyond Ukraine.”

With gas prices skyrocketing, consumer goods and food prices continue to climb, and supply chain problems continue to deepen. In May, Americans could not find basic items like baby formula on store shelves, prompting President Donald Trump to call Biden’s economic disaster “a national disgrace” in an official statement made through his Save America PAC.

The Washington Examiner also shared a poll from YouGov for Concerned Veterans of America, revealing that a whopping 38 percent of Americans think Biden should prioritize solving domestic inflationary pressures. Only 8 percent were concerned with ensuring Russia defeats Ukraine in their ongoing conflict.

The price per gallon of gas has doubled since Biden took office, with a recent AAA National Average report clocking in at $4.81 per gallon as opposed to a nationwide average of just $2.39 in January 2021, when Trump left office.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, most Americans do not trust Democrat leadership to handle economic and inflationary pressures. According to a new Morning Consult and Politico poll that looked at 2,004 respondents found that 47 percent preferred Republican leadership on the issue of inflation. Democrats netted just 34 percent of respondents’ “trust.”
