Conservative superstar and Trump ally Kari Lake announced her run for U.S. Senate in Arizona on Tuesday evening, confirming that she will not be leaving politics in the rearview mirror after her gubernatorial bid last year.

She announced, “This mama bear has a whole lot of fight left in her. I’ve got a lot of fight left in me. And I’m really tired of watching our politicians retreat from every single important battle. They’re cowards. That’s how we got into the mess we’re in, because they have surrendered far too many hills…I’m not surrendering this hill.”

She added, “I am not going to retreat. I’m going to stand on top of this hill with every single one of you – and I know you’re by my side as I formally announce my candidacy for the United States Senate!”

The crowd exploded with applause and chants of “KARI! KARI! KARI!”

“I will be the most PRO-AMERICA senator in the entire country,” she vowed. “And the only way to fix our problems is with America First policies. President Trump showed us how to do it.”

Lake was strongly endorsed by President Donald Trump in her bid for the governorship in the Grand Canyon State and she has since become a powerful ally to the president, as well as a relentless advocate of election integrity.

During her announcement speech in Scottsdale on Tuesday, she strongly criticized Joe Biden and his administration, zeroing in on the crisis at the southern border, which has acutely affected Arizona.

She called the illegal immigration an “absolute invasion” and voiced her concern that what the world has watched happen in Israel over the past few days could happen here, thanks to unfettered illegal crossings.

“I wake up in the middle of the night worried about the world…but I’m really, really worried about the same thing happening here,” she shared.

The former news anchor won the hearts of conservative Arizonans in 2022 with her feisty and likable campaign style, which has now garnered national attention.

Lake has also become known for her open legal challenges of alleged election problems in Maricopa County, bringing lawsuits against the county’s election officials, as well as the former Democrat Secretary of State Katie Hobbs.

In September, Lake went back to court to fight for the right to review ballot envelopes signed by early voters in Arizona in the 2022 election, RSBN previously reported.

She assured Arizonans on Tuesday, “I want you to know that I’m never going to walk away from the fight to restore honest elections. NEVER.”

Lake’s entrance into the Senate race will be closely watched as 2024 rolls around. Republicans are in a good position to pick up a slim but solid majority in the Senate and potentially expand their majority in the House next November.
