America First Legal announced that it is suing Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Department of Justice.

They posted the news to Twitter on Tuesday, noting that the suit is “for failing to require Hunter Biden to register as a foreign agent while Joe Biden was Vice President.”

They said, “We have the receipts,” and went on to provide information on the case.

In their second tweet, they revealed that they received emails that directly confirmed Hunter Biden’s role as a Burisma board member while his father was vice president.

America First Legal pointed out that Hunter worked as “a foreign principal” and “an attorney at the law firm representing it.”

They then described how Hunter worked as a foreign agent by working for a Ukrainian company and then representing that foreign company’s interests to his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden.

America First Legal then shared the terms of the Foreign Agents Restriction Act, which clearly defines what a “foreign agent” is, to display how that definition applies to Hunter Biden and his business dealings.

They called out Attorney General Garland for failure to hold Hunter Biden to these legal standards.

In addition, American First Legal reminded Americans, “Federal law makes clear that no person shall act as an agent of a foreign principal unless he has filed with the Attorney General a true and complete registration statement and files applicable supplements – none of which occurred during the Obama administration.”

Then, they cited Senate reports from 2020 which detailed “the complex web of relationships and financial arrangements between the Biden family and their business associates with CEFC and Ye Jianming.”

The infamous WhatsApp message was referenced, and then America First Legal posted:

“Once again, the Biden family appears to have used their name for influence peddling overseas.

The DOJ has failed to follow official legal procedures and require Hunter to either register as a foreign agent or obtain a waiver.”

They vowed “to hold Hunter Biden and the DOJ accountable for circumventing the law and conducting foreign affairs illegally while Joe Biden was Vice President.”
