After Iowa, there is no room for complacency

President Donald J. Trump decimated his opponents in the Iowa caucus. Trump’s victory was monumental, as he received more than 50 percent of the vote and cruised to a 30-point victory in the Hawkeye State.

While Trump’s dominance was on full display in Iowa, he and his followers must stay focused and attentive, keep their eyes on the prize, and refrain from any complacency resulting from Trump’s dominant showing in Iowa.

Now is not the time for complacency

Businessman and engineer, Andrew Grove, once said, “Success breeds complacency. Complacency breeds failure. Only the paranoid survive.”

Grove makes a legitimate point. While Trump obliterated his opponents in Iowa, his supporters must not become overconfident and assume that he will automatically become the Republican nominee and win reelection in November. Rather, they must approach each state’s primary as if the score is tied and that every vote can make or break Trump’s reelection bid (which is true!).

While Grove’s use of the term “paranoid” sounds a bit strong, Trump’s supporters should have a sense of paranoia given what transpired in the 2020 election and what Trump has endured at the hands of the Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans for over seven years. They should use this “paranoia” as a source of motivation to spread Trump’s message and to turn up and vote!

Trump and his supporters must promote Trump’s accomplishments and vision for America

Complacency is dangerous and can lead to stagnation. Trump’s team and his supporters must continue to press forward, to focus on the things that matter most to Americans, and to remind Americans why Trump is best suited to save this failing nation.

The selling points are plentiful. Trump is about a strong border, legal immigration, a strong economy, low inflation, affordable prices, energy independence, strong foreign policy, staying out of wars, supporting the State of Israel, toughness against America’s adversaries, appointing constitutionalists to the bench, protecting our constitutional rights, opposing efforts to indoctrinate children with woke policies, protecting women’s sports, and leading through strength.

If Trump’s team and the tens of millions of people who support him focus on these issues and show up to vote in in their state’s caucus, Trump will easily become the Republican nominee. They must not, however, get complacent and overconfident, or dwell over the victory in Iowa for too long.

Iowa was the first step

Iowa was the first step in a long and winding path to the top of the mountain, which is the presidency! Reaching the top will be tough and will require continued focus and mental fortitude.

Trump undoubtedly knows this. He knows what his opponents are capable of. After all, they impeached him twice and indicted him four times. They are currently attempting to remove him from the ballot in various states, bankrupt him, and to put him in prison for the rest of his life. They have weaponized the justice system against him, his family, and/or those closest to him. They have created a police state, destroyed the economy, ignored/eliminated various constitutional rights, imposed woke polices in America’s schools and elsewhere, created a disaster at the border, made America less safe, and emboldened America’s adversaries.

While Iowa was a tremendous victory, Trump and his followers must now turn their attention to New Hampshire. They must continue to push forward and remind the American public of Trump’s many accomplishments, his record, and his vision for America. They should not get bogged down in smokescreens and facades that are oftentimes merely efforts to distract.

The American voters are tired of the lies. They want transparency, more money in their pockets, a strong economy, available jobs, strong leadership, a closed border, and safety at home. President Trump previously delivered these things and will do so again, if reelected.

Now is not the time to endlessly celebrate, high five, or to become complacent. The risks to this nation are simply too high if we fail. Rather, it is the time to share and promote Trump’s message and his vision for America to as many people as possible so that Trump can ultimately reach the top of the mountain once again!
