President Donald Trump told the Biden administration on Monday to stop selling off portions of the border wall, calling the action “almost a criminal act.”

Trump shared the concern in a video posted to his Truth Social account.

“Now it’s about double the price of what it would’ve been six years ago, and the administration is trying to sell it for five cents on the dollar… It’s almost a criminal act,” he stated.

“I’m asking today, Joe Biden to please stop selling the wall. We’re going to use that to create a strong barrier,” Trump continued.

“It’s very expensive, and now it’s about double the price of what it would have been six years ago, and the administration is trying to sell it for five cents on the dollar, knowing that we’re getting ready to put it up,” Trump added.

The Daily Wire reported on the concern last week in an exclusive interview with a border agent.

“They are taking it from three stations: Nogales, Tucson, and Three Points,” the border patrol agent told The Daily Wire. “The goal is to move all of it off the border before Christmas.”

“They just started taking all the wall that was not used, which is still totally good and usable, and they started taking it northbound,” the agent said. “They’re pulling it all off the border.”

The materials were reportedly being sold on an auction website for far below their original value.

Trump is expected to use an executive order to restart border wall construction after his inauguration on Jan. 20, 2025.

The report comes just weeks after Trump’s border czar Tom Homan met with Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott and other officials at the southern border following the November election. Homan praised Abbott’s efforts ahead of his mass deportation

efforts expected after Trump takes office in January.

“Look, illegal crossings in Texas are down over 80% because of great work by Gov. Abbott. And he’s been successful because he has taken the Trump policies and put them to work,” Homan said.

“He’s put border barriers and walls up. Walls work. President Trump proved that. He has consequences. He’s arresting people and charging them that cross the border. Consequences work,” he added.
