President Donald Trump brought high spirits and triumphant energy Thursday evening to the Iowa State Fairgrounds for the kickoff to America250’s leadup to next year’s semi-quincentennial event, fresh off a hot streak of subsequent victories at home and abroad.

Just hours before taking the stage in Iowa while Lee Greenwood sang “God Bless the USA,” President Trump claimed a massive victory in Washington with the successful passage of the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which will be signed into law on July 4.

“There could be no better birthday present for America than the phenomenal victory we achieved just hours ago when Congress passed the One Big Beautiful Bill to make America great again!” he said.

He championed the “historic mandate” given to his administration by the people in last year’s presidential election to cut, taxes, raise take-home pay, revive the job market, and stop the invasion of illegal migrants.

“Every major promise I made to the people of Iowa became a promise kept,” Trump said, discussing the codification of critical Agenda47 items like border security funding and making the Trump Tax Cuts permanent.

“We’ve saved our country,” he said.

He spent several minutes reiterating the big wins for Americans in the OBBB, including the elimination of taxes on tips, overtime, and Social Security. It also funds border security, border wall construction, and the hiring of thousands of new Border Patrol and ICE agents.

“This bill also cuts $1.5 trillion in spending,” President Trump stated.

He promised that the OBBB would “ensure the United States of America will remain the strongest country anywhere on this beautiful planet.”

The crowd at the event was buoyant, infused with fresh energy from President Trump’s victory on the OBBB, as well as his big wins on foreign policy – his work to achieve peace in the Middle East, and to restore sovereignty to America by successfully securing the border.

“165 into the Trump administration, America is on a winning streak like, frankly, nobody has ever seen before,” he remarked.
