Steve Bannon, former Trump advisor and host of “War Room,” has just launched an offensive against Attorney General Merrick Garland.
Bannon published a post on GETTR Thursday that “We’ve Seen and Heard Enough ….Impeachment Inquiry on Garland Immediately.“
Included in the post was an illuminating article by Charlie Nash for Mediaite. The article calls out the thunderous silence that pervaded the rhetoric of IRS agents during their investigation into the dealings of Hunter Biden.
Bannon believes this silence was, in a way, institutional, if not imposed, and would thus merit an immediate impeachment inquiry of AG Garland.
The article begins:
“IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley claimed on Wednesday that he and other agents at the IRS ‘weren’t allowed to ask questions about dad’ or ‘include certain names’ during their investigation into President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden.”
Fox’s Brett Baier recently interviewed the whistleblower.
“If there is money that’s going elsewhere, whether it’s to President Biden or elsewhere, we need to follow the investigative steps to ensure that happens,” Shapley said to Baier. “And they were just not allowed in this particular investigation.”
To add to the unfolding of this drama, the New York Post reported on Tuesday:
“…IRS whistleblower accusing the Justice Department of interfering in the Hunter Biden tax fraud probe claimed in a new interview that his team was prevented from taking investigative measures that ‘could have led us to President Biden.’ IRS supervisory agent Gary Shapley, who delivered bombshell testimony to the House Ways and Means Committee in May related to the five-year-long tax fraud investigation of first son Hunter Biden, made the assertion in a sit-down with CBS Evening News that aired Tuesday.”
The New York Post went on to report, “The whistleblower further suggested that recent comments by Attorney General Merrick Garland about the ‘complete authority’ Delaware US Attorney David Weiss had in investigating and charging Hunter don’t line up with what he witnessed as a member of the team probing the president’s 53-year-old son.”
