Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security has paid $456,548 in taxpayer funds to build “security fencing” around the First Family’s mansion which sits along Delaware’s shores.
The home, located in an intercostal community in the state’s luxurious Rehoboth Beach, is slated to have the half-million-dollar security wall built by the end of the year, according to online federal spending tracking website USASpending.gov.
The $2.7 million home, considered to be Joe Biden’s “Summer White House,” already benefits from Secret Service protection, and a maze of police checkpoints, Coast Guard blockaded canals, public pond closures, and no-fly zones, according to the local Cape Gazette.
The taxpayer funded wall alone gives Sleepy Joe more security than the communities and families living in cities located along the deliberately open U.S.-Mexico border.
That border, according to data collected by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, saw the highest spike in arrests of illegal immigrants this year since 1986, with detentions alone numbering over 1.7 million, more than three times the yearly average between 2012-2020.
On Oct. 8, weeks after construction of Biden’s beach border wall began, the DHS announced it was halting all funding for the construction of a border wall in Texas’ embattled Rio Grande Valley, which has seen the lion’s share of crossings, child sex trafficking, and cartel crime.
And while the cost of human life and suffering can never be truly measured in dollars, Biden’s decision to terminate construction of President Trump’s border wall has cost Americans approximately $3 million a day, just under $2 billion total, in the carrying cost to protect steel as it rusts in the desert.
“Our border patrol agents are doing their best to secure our border, but they need additional barriers, roads, and technology to help keep us safe,” Sen. James Lankford of Oklahoma said at the time. “Instead, President Biden is paying professional construction contractors to babysit metal to the tune of $2 billion and counting, while at the same time we’ve seen a 20-year high number of migrants crossing our open border.”
Now, not only are the tax payers fronting the bill for rusting steel, but new steel to protect Biden and his son Hunter, as they sunbathe and swim in Delaware, safely away from the crime ridden sanctuary cities they have created.
