Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem gave a promising report on the state of the border crisis crackdown during President Donald Trump’s Cabinet meeting on Monday.

She stated, “This last week, I was in Arizona, California, Alaska, and Florida, CBP (Customs and Border Protection)  literally has almost 100 percent operational control of the border, which means that our country is secure and that we know who’s coming into this country and that they love our country and they want to help keep it great.”

She also noted that deportations increased by 50 percent this month, spreading the word that there are consequences for illegally entering the United States.

Noem added that she will be meeting with the president of El Salvador next week and visiting the prison where deported criminals have gone.

Plans to meet with leaders in Colombia and Mexico are also scheduled, highlighting the importance of working with other nations and “building these relationships” to stop mass illegal immigration.

She reaffirmed the importance of spreading this message across the world. “We have a legal process to become a United States citizen, and there are consequences if you come here illegally, and America has changed because we’re putting Americans first.”

In addition, Noem praised the Coast Guard for their involvement in this border crackdown. She noted that they have been repositioned to combat the fentanyl crisis and have already been able to seize half a billion dollars worth of drugs by “Going right directly after the cartels.”

Last week, the Department of Homeland Security announced the arrest of 68 members of the deadly human trafficking and drug trafficking gang, Tren De Aragua.

The release also stated that 394 members of this gang have been arrested by the Trump administration so far.

According to Axios, illegal border crossings fell to their lowest level in 25 years last month, displaying obvious results from leadership that is committed to ending the border crisis.
