BREAKING: Biden Calls on Cuomo to Resign After Sexual Harassment Reports

Joe Biden on Tuesday called on New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to resign amid the New York state attorney general’s report that found the governor guilty of sexual harassment allegations, confirming that he violated federal and state law.

When asked if Cuomo should be impeached if he refuses to resign, Biden replied, “Let’s take one thing at a time here. I think he should resign. I understand that the state legislature may decide to impeach. I don’t know that for a fact.”

Biden appears to be keeping his word after he told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos in March that Cuomo should resign if the investigation confirms the allegations, per ABC News.

“I know you said you want the investigation to continue,” Stephanopoulos told Biden, referring to a probe by New York’s attorney general into allegations Cuomo had harassed several women. “If the investigation confirms the claims of the women, should he resign?”

“Yes,” Biden replied. “I think he’ll probably end up being prosecuted, too.”

New York Attorney General Letitia James’ investigation confirmed eleven victims’ sexual harassment allegations against Cuomo, as RSBN reported.

The governor has since denied the report declaring him guilty of inappropriate sexual misconduct.

“They heard things I just didn’t say,” Cuomo said regarding his accusers which include former and current staffers.

This story is still developing. More information to come soon regarding what will happen next as calls for Cuomo to resign increase.
