In the wake of the devastating assassination of the late Charlie Kirk, a new CEO and Chair of the Board has been elected to lead Turning Point USA – the massive, youth-focused conservative apparatus built by Kirk and his team over the last decade.

According to a statement released by TPUSA, Erika Kirk, the widow of Charlie Kirk, has been unanimously elected to lead the organization.

“In Ecclesiastes, King Solomon wrote that mankind is to be tested by God,” the statement, issued by Doug De Groote, Mike Miller, Tom Sodeika, and Davie Engelhardt read.

It continued, “Today we are facing such a test, yet we also know that God has prepared us with everything we need to overcome this ordeal.”

Kirk was killed on September 10, 2025, while speaking at a youth event on campus at Utah Valley University. His sudden and violent assassination has shaken the nation and sparked an outpouring of sorrow among millions of Americans.

“It was the honor of our lives to serve as board members at Charlie’s side,” the statement continued. “Charlie prepared all of us for a moment like this one. He worked tirelessly to ensure Turning Point USA was built to survive even the greatest tests. And now, it is our great pride to announce Erika Kirk as the new CEO and Chair of the Board for Turning Point USA.”

According to an additional comment on TPUSA’s official account, it was Charlie Kirk’s wish that his wife carry on and lead the company should he pass away.

“In prior discussions, Charlie expressed to multiple executives that this is what he wanted in the event of his death,” the account explained.

Mrs. Kirk’s new role feels natural. In just 48 hours after the death of her beloved husband, she delivered a powerful set of remarks to the nation, vowing to keep fighting and carry on the legacy and mission of Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA.

“My husband’s mission will not end, not even for a moment,” she vowed.
