BREAKING: Twitch ‘indefinitely’ restricts RSBN for alleged ‘misinformation’

RSBN’s Twitch account has been suspended indefinitely for allegedly engaging in the spread of “harmful misinformation.”

“Based on a review of your activity or content, we have issued a Community Guidelines strike on your account,” the live-streaming platform notified RSBN on Tuesday via email.

“Due to the severe nature of this violation, or the fact that you’ve incurred multiple violations, your access to Twitch services is indefinitely restricted,” the notice states.

Labeling RSBN as a “harmful misinformation actor,” Twitch provided no details as to the alleged “misinformation” that had been spread but defined such conduct as: “Repeatedly spreading misinformation that threatens the safety of our community, which can include harmful health misinformation, civic misinformation, or misinformation promoting violent conspiracy networks, such as QAnon.”

The live-streaming service also noted that the conduct in question had not occurred on its platform but “off Twitch services.”

Twitch did not send any notices to RSBN prior to the ban.

The suspension comes at a time of increasing censorship of conservatives across big tech and social media platforms, with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., recently introducing legislation to address the issue by abolishing Section 230.

On its website, Twitch states that users may appeal suspensions if they feel they were enforced in error, noting, “Successful appeals usually include remorse, taking responsibility, or additional context and deeper details on the specific incident.”
