Comer’s investigation into the left-wing takeover of the justice system is long overdue

House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., has announced a “Hearing to Examine How Left Wing Activists Have Hijacked America’s Legal System.”

This investigation is not only warranted but long overdue as various cases display an obvious bias against conservative values in the justice system.

Just Tuesday, the former leader of the Proud Boys, Enrique Tarrio, was sentenced to 22 years in prison for his alleged involvement in the events of Jan. 6 despite that he was not in D.C. that day. Axios reported on his sentencing stating that he is being punished “for his role in the deadly Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection.”

By contrast, BLM rioters in New York destroyed entire buildings and caused various injuries. Hundreds were arrested, but the city dropped the charges for most of those involved, per Legal Insurrection.

The majority of the mainstream media called the rioters peaceful and sided with them instead of acknowledging the $2 billion in damage caused nationwide and the 18 people who were murdered, per Fox News. Furthermore, the federal government has yet to investigate whether the BLM riots were organized terrorism.

In addition, conservatives are being held to completely different standards than far-left activists in other regards.

The Federalist recently reported that an abortionist who has been accused of illegally performing unsafe partial-birth abortions in their house will not be investigated despite the horrific nature of the charges. Yet pro-life protestors were recently convicted of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act for praying outside of an abortion clinic and talking to women who went into the clinic in order to offer them alternatives to killing their babies, The Federalist reported.

In June, Fox News reported that Damon Atkins’s First Amendment rights were revoked when he was arrested for reading Bible verses at a Pennsylvania Pride event, but in Hollywood, a Pride parade was allowed to display BDSM sex acts in front of children, according to Fox News.

Left-wing activism has seeped into every facet of American life. It is in our courtrooms, policing, public schools, and popular culture. No longer can conservatives voice their opinions or support modest values without facing scrutiny and even potential criminal charges.

Freedom of religion is under attack, as is freedom of assembly and the freedom of speech. But the main reason that Comer’s investigation into the two-tiered justice system is long overdue is found in the bias displayed during the Biden family crimes investigation.

Comer has noted that his investigation of the alleged Biden family crimes has met with opposition at every turn. RSBN reported that he accused the Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, FBI, media, and Democrats on the Oversight Committee of working against his efforts to investigate Hunter Biden’s business dealings and Joe Biden’s connection to them.

But these same individuals and entities all spread the Russian collusion hoax, which accused President Trump of rigging the 2016 election with the help of Russian officials. These allegations were highly publicized but recently debunked by the Durham report, according to RSBN.

The justice system favored left-wing politics during the Russian collusion investigation and has continued to do so throughout the Biden family crimes investigation, just as it has in various other cases, including those regarding protestors’ rights.
