President Donald Trump honored the work of border officials on Wednesday, congratulating the nation on the lowest recorded nationwide encounters in the nation’s history for June.
The president shared the news in a lengthy post on Truth Social, also urging Republicans to pass his “Big Beautiful Bill.”
“CONGRATULATIONS AMERICA! The June Border Statistics are in and, once again, they are the LOWEST RECORDED NUMBERS IN UNITED STATES HISTORY. The U.S. Border Patrol reported ZERO releases of Illegal Aliens into the Country,” Trump wrote.
“In addition, Customs and Border Protection only had 25,243 ‘Nationwide Encounters’ throughout the entire month, which is absolutely STAGGERING, considering the Biden Administration was ‘encountering’ tens of thousands of people every single DAY,” he added.
The president urged lawmakers to support his new megabill to keep the nation’s borders safe.
“America’s Borders are Safe and Secure, and the entire World knows it. All we need to do is keep it this way, which is exactly why Republicans need to pass ‘THE ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL.’ We still have Radical Left Judges trying to open the Border, and defy the Supreme Court, which is why Republicans must be smart, strong, and never let these Crazed Judges turn us into a Third World Country,” he argued.
Trump concluded with an emphasis on the hardworking Americans protecting the border.
“The Men and Women of Border Patrol, ICE, and CBP are doing an amazing job but, they need more help and, they are counting on Republicans to, GET IT DONE!” he concluded.
The Department of Homeland Security reported that apprehensions along the southwest border dropped to 6,070 in June, marking a 15 percent decline compared to March 2025. Officials attribute the decrease to a combination of heightened enforcement, policy changes and international cooperation with neighboring countries.
The news comes after RSBN reported that U.S. Border Patrol agents did not release any migrants into the country in May, marking a dramatic shift from the 64,000 illegal border crossers allowed entry during the same month last year under the Biden administration, according to internal federal data obtained by The New York Post.
Agents encountered 8,725 individuals attempting to cross the southern border illegally in May, a 93 percent decline from the 117,905 apprehended in May 2024, according to the figures.
