A letter reportedly being circulated in Congress by Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., calls for an investigation into the evidence of 2020 election fraud shared in the film “2000 Mules.”

The letter addressed to Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., chairwoman of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, was first shared Tuesday by a CNN reporter on Twitter.

“The Committee on Oversight and Reform should immediately hold hearings to investigate the potential illegal activities revealed in the documentary film 2000 Mules,” Biggs wrote in the undated letter.

Describing the documentary’s claims as “extremely troubling,” he continued, “The film exposes potentially widespread illegal activities related to the 2020 election by using geolocation information to identify thousands of individuals who delivered thousands of illegally harvested ballots to drop boxes in five states.”

The congressman also noted that the committee has held hearings on less pressing matters in the past, including “flea and tick collars, the Washington Commanders football team, electric vehicles for the Postal Service, environmental justice, and vaping among other topics.”

“The illegal activity exposed in the documentary 2000 Mules is far more serious than the aforementioned topics and must be investigated by the Committee,” he closed. “We look forward to working with you to hold a hearing as soon as possible.”

“2000 Mules” details the investigative work of the election integrity group True the Vote, which used video surveillance footage and geolocation data to track and identify alleged ballot traffickers during the 2020 election.

Since the film’s release in May, voters across the country have called for further investigation of the evidence it presents, with groups in Arizona, Texas, and Wisconsin rejecting the election’s results altogether.

But even as concerns rise and election integrity groups take up the call for action, time grows short for an investigation to yield results that will help prevent further illegal activity in the upcoming midterms.
