Democrats pass $1.2 trillion ‘infrastructure’ bill with help from RINO Republicans

Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi clinched a victory for radical-left Democrats last week by passing the hotly contested $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill, following months of nasty political infighting and delays.

The bill, which was drastically reduced from its original price tag of $3.5 trillion, was approved in a vote of 228-206, paving the way for the biggest federal resources bill in years.

Tens of billions of dollars of federal dollars are expected to find their way to California, including funding for highway programs, bridge replacement, and transportation options, according to Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom.

“[Biden’s] historic infrastructure package stands to accelerate investments in our clean transportation infrastructure, help mitigate some of the worst impacts of climate change and accelerate new projects that will create thousands of jobs,” Newsom stated.

However, this infrastructure bill hasn’t passed the House without some controversy from conservatives who have vehemently opposed the bill, which appears to dole out billions of dollars across the country with little consequence in the midst of sluggish job market and serious supply chain crisis.

Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., called the bill “wasteful,” firing off at Pelosi by pointing out that the Speaker of the House did not have the votes to pass the infrastructure bill. “Time to name names and hold these fake republicans accountable,” Boebert tweeted shortly after the bill passed, referring to the Republicans who jumped the proverbial ship and voted on the massive spending bill.

In August, President Donald Trump slammed the proposed Infrastructure Bill, calling it a “disgrace.”

He stated: “If Mitch McConnell was smart, which we’ve seen no evidence of, he would use the debt ceiling to negotiate a good infrastructure package…Republicans should wait until after the Midterms when they will gain all the strength they’ll need to make a good deal, but remember, you already have the card, it’s called the debt ceiling – which the Democrats threatened us with constantly.”

Although the bill passed the House at $1.2 trillion instead of the originally proposed $3.5 trillion, the price tag is still substantially hefty, begging the question of who is going to foot the bill for the supposed infrastructure that will be funded. The responsibility, of course, lays with the American taxpayer. For example, the bill completely eliminates the $10,000 ceiling on state and local property taxes on everyday Americans – just one element among a long list of Democrat-supported ideas tacked onto the bill.

Interestingly enough, the infrastructure bill allots no money at all to finishing the Trump-era border wall, despite the crisis raging at the southern border, where a record 1.7 million illegal immigrants have attempted to cross into the United States so far in 2021. It is also important to note that 13 House Republicans and 19 Senate Republicans crossed party lines to vote for the bill, according to a report from Breitbart News.

Democrats and RINO Republicans alike have been united in their unanimous goal to pass the bill, fueling speculation about how the trillion-dollar spending package will actually inject life into an already lagging economy. It’s important to note that, unfortunately, the unemployment rate has remained above 100 million for the 14th month in a row, including those who are either unemployed or not in the labor force, according to the Labor Department Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Will the trillion-dollar infrastructure bill save the beleaguered Biden economy from total catastrophe, or will it sink it further into debt? Time will tell, but the odds are certainly not in Joe Biden’s or the Democrats’ favor.
