Gov. DeSantis, R-Fla., ripped the Biden administration’s policies during a recent “Workforce Development” press conference in Franklin County, Florida, calling out the horrible effects of rising inflation in the United States.

The governor stated, “They have printed trillions and trillions of dollars. What has the result of that been? The worst inflation that this country has had in four decades. They’ll say it’s 8 percent, but look at the grocery bills – they’re up 30, 40 percent.”

Last week, the Bureau of Labor Statistics revealed that U.S. inflation hit a 40-year high in March, with consumer prices surging 7.9 percent. Additionally, the prices at the pump have hit Americans hard. Gas prices now range from four to eight dollars a gallon, depending on the state.

However, under Gov. DeSantis’ leadership, Florida created 52,000 private sector jobs in February and reduced the unemployment rate to 3.3 percent. This is a stark contrast to the sluggish, Biden-led economy hitting blue states especially hard.

“When you put freedom first, you put hardworking families first, and every Floridian reaps the benefits,” Gov. DeSantis stated regarding Florida’s optimistic job numbers. “February’s economic data is more concrete evidence that Florida is on the right path.”

Additionally, the governor has been unafraid to take the Biden administration head-on over Covid-related restrictions and regulations.

In March, DeSantis announced that the state of Florida was filing a lawsuit against the Biden administration over the endless Covid restrictions.

“It is well past time to get rid of this unnecessary mandate and to get back to normal life,” DeSantis remarked, commenting on mask mandates on airplanes. He also said that the ongoing mandates were “heavy-handed” and had “no scientific backing.”
