President Donald Trump has been facing a continuing civil fraud case in the New York court system over the past few weeks, duking it out with New York State Attorney General Letitia James and presiding Judge Arthur Engoron.
The crux of the case rests on AG James’ allegation that Trump overinflated the value of his business assets – a claim that he has vehemently denied.
Earlier this week, RSBN reported that Deutsche Bank executive David Williams testified about the president’s loans, which he called “atypical but not entirely unusual.”
Trump himself reiterated the fact that he paid back the loans and that the bank “got their money.”
In a series of documents introduced in the New York trial, senior Deutsche Bank executives internally discussed the president’s personal balance sheets and lauded the power of his brand.
Trump spokeswoman Liz Harrington wrote on X, “Deutsche Bank Senior Executives state Trump had one of ‘the strongest personal balance sheets we have seen and totally unlike any of our major RE developer clients.'”
One email described the president’s “expertise in running world class assets like – as demonstrated by his extensive hotel, condos, clubs, gold courses – makes this asset purchase and repositioning a realistic and high probably success story.”
Another email noted that they observed the “absence of personal debt, with huge asset base and diversified CF.” The same email also pointed out that they could “miss out on a great franchise opportunity (of which this undoubtedly is one) by not highlighting deal strengths.”
The $250 million civil suit has drawn national attention amid President Trump’s 2024 campaign to reclaim the White House.
The president has scorched AG James for her documented history of campaigning on anti-Trump rhetoric and has recently drawn attention to Judge Engoron’s wife’s alleged online trail of anti-Trump posts.
“Judge Engoron’s Trump Hating wife, together with his very disturbed and angry law clerk, have taken over control of the New York State Witch Hunt Trial aimed at me, my family, and the Republican Party,” Trump wrote on Wednesday.
