Joe Biden scored just a 36.3 percent job approval, according to the most recently released poll by Trafalgar group, as voters from across the political spectrum continue to flee the Democrat Party amid its poor governance on a range of issues.
Conducted in the last week of November, the poll found that well over a majority of Americans disapproved of Biden’s job performance: 59.1 percent, giving the administration a negative 22.8 percent net approval.
Perhaps most alarming for Democrats, 52.2 percent of those surveyed “strongly disapproved” of Biden, while the remaining 6.9 percent simply “disapproved.” Comparatively, just 18.1 percent “strongly approved” of Biden’s performance.
Disapproval continues to mount among independent voters, as Biden earned just a 29.3 percent overall approval among that group and a 62.1 percent disapproval—a net overall negative approval of 32.8 percent.
The poll included 1082 likely general election voters, who were distributed roughly equally across the United States.
Although slightly below other job approval polls, Biden’s approval has been declining rapidly since late summer—scoring an overall 42.2 percent approval, according to the RealClearPolitics average.
In light of the embattled Biden administration, Democrats have sounded the alarms on the party’s electability heading into the 2022 midterm election year.
Polls have consistently shown Republicans leading Democrats, as well as a significant lead for President Trump in a hypothetical 2024 rematch against Biden.
