President Donald Trump’s massive victory included 48 of the nation’s 50 states moving right, according to the Associated Press.

The shift is the largest change to the political map for Republicans since President Ronald Reagan won in 1980.

“Donald Trump won every swing state, will win the popular vote, and moved 48 states to the right. This is an undeniable mandate,” Charles Correll III, communications advisor to Republican Sen. John Barrasso, posted to X.

Liberal states that moved the most to the right included California, New York, Connecticut, Illinois and New Jersey. Already red states like Florida and Texas moved further to the right.

NBC News also highlighted voters who shifted to Trump in 2024.

“Trump garnered the support of a remarkable 1 in 3 voters of color, most likely the best performance of any Republican presidential candidate since George W. Bush in his 2004 re-election effort,” the outlet reported.

“That included a striking shift of Latino voters into the GOP column compared with 2020 — they backed Trump by 13 points more,” it added.

Vice President Kamala Harris also failed to make gains among female voters despite pitching herself as potentially becoming the nation’s first female president.

“Harris’ edge among women this year did not exceed either President Joe Biden’s or former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s, a troubling sign for the vice president given that she tried to mobilize female voters on the issue of abortion. Trump maintained an edge among men,” CNN Politics reported in its analysis of the election.

Trump’s victory concluded with 312 electoral votes as he was projected to win the final state of Arizona on Wednesday, RSBN reported.

Trump’s campaign referred to the sweeping victory as an “overwhelming mandate.”

“President Trump won with an overwhelming mandate — 312 electoral votes, the popular vote, and one out of three votes from Americans of color. He will deliver for ALL Americans,” his campaign posted to X alongside a Fox News interview featuring Trump campaign senior adviser Jason Miller.

Nationwide, Trump also won the popular vote, becoming the first Republican to do so in 20 years.
