Following the second attempted assassination of President Donald Trump on Sunday, the mainstream media began its attempts to place blame on Trump rather than call for the Democrats to end its divisive rhetoric.

Donald Trump Jr. highlighted several of the media’s egregious remarks, starting with an exchange on MSNBC.

He shared a post from Curtis Houck, who wrote, “WATCH: MSNBC’s Alex Witt argues *the Trump campaign* needs to turn down the rhetoric now that Donald Trump has been shot at for the second time in three months. ‘Do you expect there to be calls from within the Trump campaign to [tone it down]?’ Elise Jordan replies she hopes Trump makes this ‘a unity-type’ inflection point, but fears he won’t do it.”

Trump Jr. also shared a clip from NBC News, during which the host said, “Today’s apparent assassination attempt comes amid increasingly fierce rhetoric on the campaign trail. Mr. Trump, his running mate JD Vance continue to make baseless claims about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, resulting in bomb threats.”

Trump Jr. also reacted to CBS’ 60 Minutes airing its “threat to democracy” episode, which rehashed the events of January 6, 2021.

Trump Jr. then shared a post from a journalist for The Atlantic who also blamed Trump for inciting violence.

“Shortly after a leftist freak tried to assassinate my dad, David Frum of The Atlantic tweeted the below. Truly deranged that after two verified assassination attempts, this sicko responds by claiming, without any evidence, that he is actually the one guilty of inciting violence!” Trump Jr. wrote.

One ABC News host seemed to blame Trump for forcing the Secret Service to protect his large golf course and shifted the focus on Trump and vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance’s rhetoric around the Haitian migrant crisis in Springfield, Ohio. Donald Trump Jr. called the exchange “disgraceful.”

On Monday morning, Trump Jr. explained the impact that the attempted assassinations have had on his family. “You know what’s getting really old? Having to have conversations with my 5 young children about radical leftist[s] trying to kill their grandfather. No person should ever have to do this in America or anywhere else and yet I had to have that conversation five times again yesterday.”
