President Donald Trump addressed an energetic crowd of Pennsylvania voters during a town hall hosted by Fox News personality Sean Hannity on Tuesday.
Trump vowed to “heal our world” as he addressed a school shooting in Georgia that killed four students and injured several others.
“It’s a sick and angry world for a lot of reasons and we’re going to make it better. We’re going to heal our world. We’re going to get rid of all these wars that are starting all over the place because of incompetence,” Trump said Wednesday from the New Holland Arena in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
“We’re going to hopefully do very well. We have an election coming up … We’re going to be, I think, we’re going to be very well set up to do a great job,” he added.
Trump also addressed the consequences of open borders in America under Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Take a look at Aurora in Colorado where Venezuelans are taking over the whole town — They have AK-47s. They’re knocking down doors and occupying apartments. The people are petrified and it’s getting worse and worse — We have to do the largest deportation in history,” he told Hannity.
The 45th president commented on the Harris campaign’s flip-flopping on fracking in Pennsylvania during the discussion. The oil industry impacts hundreds of thousands of people in the state.
“Pennsylvania can’t take a chance on Kamala Harris. If she won, you’re not going to have any fracking in Pennsylvania. It’s your biggest business, and you get a big majority of your income from fracking. You have no choice — you’ve got to vote for me!” Trump responded.
One of the highlights of the event occurred when Hannity asked, “If 2016 was about the forgotten man and forgotten woman, what is 2024 about?”
Trump answered, “It’s not that different… People are being treated horribly in this country… It’s very simple: Make America Great Again — that’s what we have to do.”
When the audience was asked whether their lives were better under Harris than when Trump was president four years ago, the answer was a resounding, “No!”
